maybe because i'd love to be outside playing tennis right now- but this shoot reminds me of a crisp, beautiful, early summer day-full of bright flowers and gorgeous paper details. i've never been to palm springs, but this shoot (and what i've heard about their amazing mid-century modern thrifting) makes me want to go NOW!

you know when you see something and your jaw literally drops? mine just did. i think this idea is total genius. not only is it stylish and cute, but incredible cost effective!
i absolutely LOVE this template from ruffled blog for combining your table number and a menu all in the same [OH SO CHEAP 99 cent] frame from Ikea!
i can imagine this for working for so many types of weddings...

party dresses turned wedding dresses

not every wedding is going to be the type to require an elaborate-floor length-thousands of dollar type of dress. here are some options for those of us who don't fit that mold.
I found each of these dresses through etsy seller thrush and could really look through her stuff for days. she has the eye for great vintage finds that are completely relevant today. even if your wedding isn't low-key enough to wear one of these dresses as a wedding dress, each of these (plus a billion more in her shop) would make fabulous going-away dresses. you really need to stop by.

and nikki and brandon taught me that that is just fine.
in fact, a winter wonderland wedding can be incredibly gorgeous.
