Friday Find

So I've decided that fridays will now be for our favorite "find" of the week, as in something new and amazing and wonderful we've discovered during the week. This week it's the photo+video team of stop.go.love. I love their unique style, and the great angles they use. The stop.go.love. team is from the Boston area. They are rockstars. See for yourself.

Wedding Signs That Rock

Couples lately have been abandoning the tradition of getting married under an arbor and having custom signs made that reflect their personalities. There are a lot of sellers on etsy making custom signs and plenty to choose from on google, or why not make one yourself?

Here are some of our favorites from around the interwebs.

Fall Colors Inspiration Board

I fell in love with this color combo today, and why wouldn't I? They are perfection! Why should fall colors have to be dull or drab? I love fall and I love color, so they should go hand in hand.

"say no to the rented tux"

Our twitter friend and talented photographer, Caroline Fontenot has started a side blog apart from her wonderful photography blog, dedicated to the sole purpose of getting grooms to STOP RENTING TUXES. AMEN! Thank you Caroline! There are just so many other much MUCH better options for helping your man look his best. Let's face it, if he looks bad, you look bad. I could pull up a hundred, maybe even a thousand examples of adorable brides whose ensembles are ruined by a dumpy looking (most likely rented) tux. Guys, think of it as an investment, you'll be able to wear your wedding outfit again unlike your bride. So don't be afraid to spend a little bit of money on it. Go check out Caroline's blog, she calls it "the funfetti". What's not to love? Who doesn't love funfetti cupcakes? Who doesn't like a good looking guy in a good looking suit...or vest....and bow tie? Click here to see fine wedding attire :)

I'm Back! And a Darling Wedding From Oh Darling.

I have returned from the land of babies! No more baby bump for me. Thank goodness! It's nice to feel like myself again and have the energy to do things. And it's so amazing being a mom, I love it. Christopher is so cute and makes me smile, almost every minute of the day. He's great, if you want to hear more about him and SEE him, check out my photography blog. He's taken it over. haha

BUT NOW! I am going to be blogging on a more regular basis, starting with the adorable NYC wedding of Melanie and Jesse from the equally adorable husband and wife team of Oh Darling! Photography. They do an amazing job capturing events, we love them. How much do you love that bride's dress though? A lot?

And as always we love to see submissions from our readers, whether you are a photographer, coordinator, a bride, or just a wedding obsessed reader. Send them our way!

just a whole lot of awesomeness.

i've been compiling little things i've found all over for the past week.
here it is.
all of it :)

love the claw foot tub as giant cooler found via Ruffled Blog

adore this lacy short dress, especially cute because her mom wore it 30 years earlier- also from Ruffled Blog

i love a streamer background [and can you get a more budget-friendly option?! it's perfect] found via Rock n Roll Bride

i love it when you can tell a bride and groom dressed in a way that's totally THEM, whatever that might be [not what they're wedding planner suggested] a gorgeous shot from Amelia Lyon Photography *as a personal note, i bought nic some chucks to wear for our last reception. I bought them for him nearly 3 years before we got married so they could be perfectly broken in. I bought some for me at the same time for the same reason- we both totally forgot about it and never wore them at our wedding. SO SAD! that's what we get for planning 3 years ahead I guess :)

idaho bride

these pictures were taken by the talented Justin Hackworth just miles from my house in idaho. this bride is completely stunning- i can't get enough of her dress & veil. If you live in utah, you MUST be at Justin's 30 strangers opening reception* tonight on center street in Provo. If only we didn't live 4 hours away [from EVERYTHING!]... sigh...

*For the third edition of Hackworth’s 30 Strangers Project and fund raiser, the fine art photographer shot portraits of 30 sets of mothers and daughters, some spanning four generations, over 30 days. Participants were selected at random from over 400 people that asked to be part of the project. In lieu of a sitting fee, each donated to the Center for Women & Children in Crises.

what a great guy.

I think i'd base an entire event around lizzy house's red letter day fabric. i love it so much & think it would be an adorable jumping off point.

love that lasts

I love old love. Nothing melts my heart like seeing two people who have been together for so many years still crazy in love with each other. I can only hope this is Chad and me some day. Thanks Jose Villa!
