wine country wedding
I recently received this beautiful wedding from photographer Matthias Giazendanner (THAT is quite a name!) and I loved it. Maybe it's because I'm a sucker for all things yellow, or country set weddings. Either way, it was gorgeous and I wanted to share it with you! Here's what Matthias had to say:
"Stephanie and Greg came to the Farmhouse Inn from Bozeman MT, seeking an intimate wine country wedding rather than a huge event. Stephanie is an artist and a professional florist, so she chose to create the decorations, flower arrangements, and corsages herself. March in wine country is mustard flower season, so the couple decided to have a yellow themed wedding to fit the gorgeous setting. Everything down to Stephanie's rainboots for a hike through the vineyards matched."

love&balloons
if you read wedding inspiration blogs, photographers websites, follow wedding-related peeps on twitter or basically, if you have the internet- you might be aware of some ever-brewing controversy about props like balloons when used for portraits. some photogs hate them and think they are crutches. others use them and love them. i for one think props can be done well, or done poorly. but, that's how most things are in life, right?
here are some cuties.
a beautiful shoot by the talented max wanger. do you read cup of jo? it's a great blog. these are engagement pics of cup of jo herself- joanna goddard.
balloon send off at a wedding. found via oncewed
not just cute balloons but super adorable clouds...

and i realize this is a pinwheel, not a balloon- but same idea right? i'm in love - mustard bmw 2002, a beach and a pinwheel. kate spade promotional pic found via one of my favorite daily reads oh happy day!
so what do you think? will you be having balloons or other props at your engagement session or wedding?

engagements that fit YOUR style as a couple.
your engagement pictures are an important part of your wedding. they're what your guests will (probably) see when they open your invitation and decide whether or not they're going to attend the event. so make them say something about you! this couple picked old military grounds because they loved that no one else knew about them and they had great texture. they are simple but speak worlds about the couples personality. thanks to photographer ariel nay nebeker for sending these in!
